"Psychogenica" is the first album released by Irish Synronize Records. The only author of all tracks, and of course the author of the whole CD, is Ajja (Ajja S. F. Leu) - member of Yab-Yum and The Peaking Goddess Collective, manager of Peak Records.

"Psychogenica" is the dark psytrance album. So besides monotonous package of bass and kick, the foreground actor of the album is also plenty of fast, whistle and sharp sounds. The artist's technic presents impeccably. The tracks we have here are produced very well and their atmosphere is swing of alien, metallic and cybernetic sounds that are formed on synthesizers. Bass quite often have a melody line and sometimes this bass is a main melody of the composition (this situation we have in f.e. "Tripmunch" and "Juicy Shrooms"), other time the bass have a linear structure. From time to time we hear samples and ethnic motives around all of those flying sounds. We don't have whistle and chaos in a bad sense of mastering, sound quality is superb. And everything would be fine, but one thing here is really bad: total lack of diversity. Except is the last track titled "Peripheral Visions", which can be described as a kind of "morning" dark psytrance. One thing here is falling in mind more than anything else: nice female voice pretty weaved into an arrangement and this is a reason that it's maybe the best composition of the album, though it's difficult to choose something in this case. Because the tracks are definitely too similiar to each other. They miss charismatic and original trademarks. So monotony is born and... bore.

This is why I am disappointed. "Psychogenica" is the album that represent interesting sound, but which is heading like to nowhere. And probably the worst in this all is that Ajja was able to create more diversity what is presented in sophisticated and effectively way in "Peripheral Visions".
