If album with remixes of Oforia's music (Israeli artist Ofer Dikovsky) was released in about 2002, then for sure this album would bind goa/psytrance sounds in one coherent entirety in excellent way. Ofer brings a lot to this music. Indoor, Phreaky, Tandu, Pigs In Space - his previous co-projects with other artists or solo projects, are the diamonds in history not only of Israeli, but of the whole - world goa/psytrance course.

The last good Ofer's album - "Let It Beat" - was released in 2002. Probably full discography of this artist between 1995 and 2002 may be described as a work that carry a fresh artistic air to the scene. He was when the scene was born, he was with this scene when scene grew. And he is still with it. But the question is, is it still the same scene and person? This important question have a close connection with the sounds presented on album titled "Arcadia - The Remixes Album".

Without a doubt, Oforia release his music on the scene that still have the same term, which - though have prefix of "psy" - is no longer really psychedelic. Psychedelic is ostensible and have itself only in aspect "you say Oforia - you still think goa/psytrance". Israeli scene (let's leave the whole scene) is going to the clubs, prefix is slowly disappearing, trance stay as oneself. However, Ofer even here is offering nothing, just for a few years he is doing exactly the same as others - is not forcing new ideas. Since 2002 he shows "Headed For Infinity" in 2005 and "Inner Twist" in 2006. "Arcadia" is directed definitely for these listeners, who derive satisfaction from the sound of these two CDs, because almost every of the tracks presented in this BNE release is alluring a very simple melodiousness.

"Arcadia" is album with remixes of Oforia's compositions, then why I am still refering to this musician not summoning other artists that worked here (though for the sake of accuracy, the first track is a remix done by Oforia oneself) as Atomic Pulse, Talamasca, G.M.S., Perplex? Because they didn't bring to the scene, its history, so fantastic expressions as Ofer did - even in we sum up their all works, Ofer is better one. They simply did here something for what they get the money.

In full consciousness I didn't mentioned about Fatali and Infected Mushroom. Their remixes are in the end of the CD. Track "Headed For Infinity" is, in my opinion, one of the betters in full-on history. Released on the CD with the same title, was a healthy one surrounded by mutated, and now its remix by Fatali (Eitan Carmi) is also a not infected specimen. The remix didn't change too many in comparision with the original one, just a few moments are delicately modified. I think it's a successful work by which you can experience a honest satisfaction.

Whereas the last track on the CD and the second good is "Millions Of Miles Away" in a remix of Infected Mushroom (Erez Aizen + Amit Duvdevani). Containing this composition in the currect "artistic" scene's context is a nice surprise for me. The original edition comes from "Let It Beat" album, while its refreshisng from EP released in the same time. 2002 is a good year, so Infected Mushroom's track is also good, though a little below of their level presented at that time.

So we have two pleasures contained on this nearly 80-minutes CD number one (only two? it's of course from the perspective of such psy-nationalist like me). There is still CD number two which contain EP titled "Return Of The Machines". We have here four versions of a track (designed originally by Oforia and B-Wicked) from "Inner Twist" album. These 26 minutes are projected to the same listeners as the first eight tracks from the previous CD. And even to more people, because while CD number one don't have vocals, the second one - is living with the singing.

What about this two-discs release can be said? For sure, it's done professionaly from the start to the end, we have perfect sound quality, many simple motives, catchy vocals. In my eyes, for a special praise deserve Mo Shic, because his remix of "Return Of The Machines" is clearly done for the club. This musician created the track with clubby aim in the soul. This is not a mockery, I really want to express my respect to him.

Sum up, who like clubby rhythms then will like this music. What is interesting, we have also a video clip to the short version of "Return Of The Machines" - it's on the second CD and can be watched on a computer. Especially interesting is a direction of some elements, though as the music, this also have not too much connections to the art.
