"Ryonic Spaces" is the seventh CD by PsyTropic Records, at the same time this is the sixth compilation and fifth disc compiled by this German label creator - DJ Chemicus, who's real name is Thomas Vitali.
First two tracks belongs to PsyNina (Nina K. Fox from Germany). At the beginning we have two minutes of spoken intro, while "Level Of Creation" is already a fast, uncompromising cosmic full-on, which is a good start for the rhythmical part of the compilation. "Dream Vision" by Rumble Pack (Philip Guillaume from Switzerland) is a kind of clubby continuation for previous sounds; too simple for me. Next two tracks are "Enzyme" by Cycle Sphere (Dui Bitton from Israel) and "Half Past Dead" by Miraculix Vs. Trinodia (Thomas Hammarstrom and Daniel Eriksson from Sweden). These are quite good full-on compositions with all its typical elements - I'll tell about these elements also at the end of the review. Good and energetic is "I Believe" by Slug (Liam Gibbs from RSA). Relatively sharp and nearly very good is contained on the seventh track "Crypton #7" by Luckyy Seven (Tanya Kret from Germany). The biggest surprise on this CD is a remix of "Meltdown". Original is done by Perplex (Ronen Dohen from Israel) and Michele Adamson, the remix belong to Indra (Oshri Krispin from Israel). What's not difficult to guess, collaboration of Michele with full-on artist in a remix done by full-on artist brings... and here is the surprise, because it isn't a typical pop-trance though it have its characteristics, sometimes in a total dishabille. Michele's vocal is putted here in a scheme so schematic as we see today in a fusion of vocals and trance (with the effects that changes a bit that vocal, so its sound is more twisted), besides this vocal is entering between crudely collage of bass, beat and banal synth. So where is the surprise? Surprise is - it's sounds nice. Very rarely this kind of sound talk to me, but this time it's pleasantly - of course don't forget about our lovely context. Next we have "Galaxy Wave" by Miditec (Miki Bibas from Israel). This is a morning full-on and - as previous one - is nice to hear it. Good for the end of holiday party. Other side of power we've got in "Cocaine Serotonine" by Galactika (Alex Dorkian from Germany) and PsyNina. Wildness, cosmos, energy - good full-on. The CD is closing up with similar in emotional expression "Hostage" by Tron (Patrice Tron from Mexico), in which last phaze we have nicely twisted motive, however it's a little bad that so short it is.
Tracks contained on the CD presents quite not bad full-on, that shows from the one side elements of clubby crudeness (look: melodies), and from the second side also psytrance, twisted and cosmic sounds - there is many happens in these compositions. So for today standards, "Ryonic Spaces" is a good CD. Contain the sounds that from time to time can lift on the party spirit.
